Paula has been providing comprehensive estate, incapacity and trust planning services to Ontario-based clients since 2017. Prior to that, she practiced as a family and estate litigator for many years. Paula is passionate about using trust and estate services to provide protection to clients and their families so they may avoid the unfortunate situations she witnessed as an estate litigator. She believes that proper estate and trust planning serves to ensure a better future and a sound legacy for clients and their loved ones.
Paula holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and a law degree from Queen’s University, where she graduated on the Dean’s Honour’s List. Following law school, Paula clerked at the Superior Court of Ontario before entering into private practice. Paula also holds a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation.
A regular speaker on a variety of estate and trust matters, Paula particularly enjoys sharing her knowledge on protecting vulnerable individuals, as well as on best to structure gifts to charities in order to maximize their benefit.
In her personal life, Paula is an avid runner, ultimate frisbee player and triathlete. She is the mother of two young boys, and also has a deep love of animals, opening her home to both rescues and fosters.
